Roxy is still in Malaysia while I work through the process of bringing her to New Zealand. While I wait, I have started exploring dog-friendly places near our future home in Point Chevalier.

One place I am excited to visit with her is Meola Reef Dog Park. It has a large fenced area where dogs can exercise off-leash, along with walking tracks and harbour views.

Point Chevalier Beach is another place we may enjoy together. Dog-access times can change during the year, so I will always check the signs and current council rules before taking Roxy there.

After her long journey and quarantine, Roxy will need time to settle into her new home. We will begin with quiet, short walks and gradually explore more of Auckland together.

For now, I walk without her and imagine the day she will finally be beside me. That will be the beginning of our Point Chevalier adventures.
