While Roxy is still in Malaysia, I am preparing for her new life with me in Auckland.

She will need a comfortable bed, food and water bowls, a secure space to rest and time to become familiar with her new home. I also plan to find a local vet and learn about nearby dog-friendly parks and walking areas.

Roxy is a senior dog, and her journey to New Zealand will be long. After travelling and completing quarantine, she may need plenty of quiet time and rest.

We will begin with short walks and slowly introduce her to new places, people and dogs. I do not want to rush her.

The most important thing will be helping Roxy feel safe, loved and at home again.
